Most importantly, the complexion should be considered first, as there is a process that is always in play, that being absorption and reflection. Which is, the lightest colour drawing on the darkest and the darkest reflecting into the lightest. Colours applied to the hair by a design considering this process can render wonderfully beautiful results.
A good example would be a person with a natural rosy blush to their complexion would have to be very careful as to how much red would be involved in their hair colour.
